My Client is a leading membership body representing the Health sector. They have engaged me to find a Research Analyst to join the team, initially this will be on a 12 month FTC but there is a good chance that this will continue to a permanent position.

The position holder will provide high quality research, information and advice to all areas of the association’s activities, in particular its negotiating and policy roles. To promote the image of the association by producing high quality research and briefing papers on the field of health and social policy and by liaison with others in similar units of academic departments within the field.

Skills:

Highly literate and numerate with a higher degree in health policy, social policy, economics, statistics or related area.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interpret and translate research findings, producing briefing reports, technical research and different kinds of information in specialist and non-specialist language to various audiences.
Interpret research findings to suggest recommendations to inform policy.
Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodology training
Broad understanding of health issues
IT skills including standard statistical packages
Ability to influence and persuade others effectively and represent the department position to a broad audience.
Ability to critically appraise the research of others in the field of health and social policy
Deputies for a Senior Research Analyst as appropriate
Ability to develop external contacts with civil servants, research staff of other policy and research institutes and think tanks, university staff and research companies; often at a very senior level.
Ability to produce summaries of research topics, briefing papers and survey reports for web content for both internal and external audiences.
Ability to communicate, technical and sometimes complex research topics.
