MATERIALS HANDLER / STORES

My client is a market leader within their industry and currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced MATERIALS HANDLER to join the team at their manufacturing facility in Hope Valley, South Yorkshire.

Working within the Logistics Team, this is a role based in the Stores Department which includes a variety of different tasks including the handling of purchased parts and surplus stock.

Main duties include:

• Movement of parts, materials and finished products between Departments on the shop floor.
• Replenishment of production stock.
• To support the Stores Department, ensuring stock accuracy is maintained.
• To pick component parts from various stores locations.
• General driving duties as and when required.
• General housekeeping duties.
• To carry out any other duties in relation to the Stores Department at the request of the Logistics Supervisor.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Experience of working in a Stores / Warehouse environment or as a Materials Handler in a similar environment would be preferable but is not essential as full training can be given to the right applicant.
• Counterbalance forklift truck license and a full UK driving license is essential for this role.
• The role will involve regular, repetitive lifting and handling of materials and equipment.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent people skills and a team player.
• Basic computer skills would be an advantage.

Package:

• 37.50 hours per week.

• annual salary of circa £26,000per year based on experience.
• Premium rates for overtime.
