Van Delivery Driver (Temp to Perm)

Salary: £26,000 per year

Driver Hire Luton are looking for Cat B Van Delivery Drivers for our client who are a specialist in delivering flooring. Your deliveries will include mainly carpet rolls along with some laminate flooring packs and artificial turf. This role is physical where heavy lifting is involved (80-100KG) for this one man kerbside delivery job. A sack barrow is provided for deliveries.

Routes can include London, Portsmouth and Reading just to name few. The van is long wheel base and has telematics tracker installed to monitor your acceleration, braking and closeness to other vehicles in front so you will need be a safe driver. This is a temporary to permanent position.

Start Times:

* Monday to Friday

* Shift times available 04:00AM / 06:00AM & 12:30PM

* Average shift 9-11 hours

The successful van delivery driver will need to:

* Have a valid UK driving licence with Category B

* Have minimum 1 years van delivery driving experience

* Be able to lift heavy products (80-100KG)

* Be physically fit

* Be polite and presentable

* Be able to use a PDA

* Have the correct PPE (Hi-vis, safety boots & sat-nav)

Pay:

* PAYE £26,000 per year inclusive of holiday pay

* Our shifts are a minimum of 8 hours guaranteed with weekly pay

When you go permanent after 12 weeks (60 shifts) the benefits are:

* £26,000 per year PAYE

* 45 hour permanent contract
