Children’s Senior Residential Support Worker

Salary: £26,000 per year

We are looking for a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our growing team in Rugeley, who has previous experience of working with Children with Learning Disabilities needs.

The home is a 2 bedded provision that specialises in Children / Young People between the ages of 8-18 with Learning Disabilities. This post is for a private company based in the Cannock area, where they currently have 4 Children’s Residential homes and are currently all rated as “GOOD” with Ofsted.

Please note

Providing personal care may be required with this position due to the needs of some of the Children/Young People in our care.

This position requires sleep-ins and work hours are across 7 days on a rota basis.

Staff are contracted to 40 hours per week (£26,000 per year) and approximately 10 sleep-ins (£30 sleep-in rate) per month and work on a 2 days on, 3 days off rota pattern.

Shift examples; 9am/3pm-10pm, sleep-in, 7am-10pm, sleep-in, 7am-9am/3pm.

This candidate must have sound knowledge of the Quality Care Standards that govern Children’s Residential settings and have the skills and qualities needed in providing the high quality of care to the Children residing at the home.

Some of the duties and responsibilities held by the successful candidate include:

Supporting Young People in their day-to-day routines

Completing and maintaining administrative records as required by the home

Providing a positive role model for the Young People

Developing and maintaining professional working relationships.

The Candidate

Previous experience within a Children’s residential home setting is essential.

Candidate must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.

Candidate must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Workforce.

Candidate will have Safer Recruitment and DBS checks carried out in their application process.
