As a Retirement Housing Assistant you will play a vital part in ensuring that this happens and that every day is a quality day for the residents of your community.
Essential to this role will be you desire to provide an outstanding service where you know what you do will make a difference.
Responsible for carrying out daily calls depending on the preferences or needs of each resident, you will be liaise closely with the Housing Support Officers, arranging social activities as well as managing facilities and Health & Safety (Fire alarm testing, reporting on communal repairs and monitoring cleaning and maintenance contracts). Carrying out accompanied viewings with prospective customers you will induct new residents on all areas of the building to ensure that they settle into their new home successfully.
With a welcoming personality, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will have a desire to work with older residents and ideally have worked within this area before. Previous experience of facilities and/or estate management, Health & Safety and an ability and willingness to carry out minor DIY tasks is highly desirable.
