Digitisation and Service Support

Salary: £30,000 – £31,800 per year

Do you have an interest in the history of TV and Film Production? This role would suit someone who would like to work 3 days a week on the client premises, based near Kings Cross Station.

Working in a team of specialists with training provided for the right candidate, you would be responsible for front-line and ongoing media support for the organisation’s digital activity. We need someone who is well organised with an understanding of the value of digital technologies in education.

Requirements

• Knowledge (and experience) of using both OSX and Windows operating systems

• Knowledge and commitment to the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion 

• Experience in an appropriate role where you can show you have used your initiative, independently and as part of a team

• Experience of maintaining a safe working environment

• Excellent time-management skills, proven ability to meet deadlines/ work well under pressure

• Highly effective database user skills

• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage a diverse workload and

prioritise effectively

• Willingness to work offsite when required (including retrieving tapes from storage)

• Ability to use own initiative and problem solve when appropriate

• Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with queries and inquiries

• Attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable

• Basic understanding of bitrates and codecs

• An interest in TV and Film production/ history of this

• An understanding of the value that moving image and sound

have in enriching teaching, learning and research alongside text

• Experience of working within a membership organisation

• Experience of using membership management databases

• Clear understanding of data management (in accordance with GDPR)
