Application Development Delivery Manager
£90,000 per annum
Location: Slough, Berkshire
The Delivery Manager is accountable for project delivery to a telecommunications customer and the specific focus is on service quality, customer satisfaction and productivity.
The Delivery Manager is responsible for the success of complex projects ensuring that the team understands user requirements, leading application design, project planning, managing priorities monitoring project progress, managing risk and dependence, balancing priorities and manage the demand based on real data or in demand forecast data.
Mandatory requirements:
Strong background in IT and Application management Services
Strong understanding and involvement of software development life cycle
Strong understanding of the outsourcing industry
Exhibit strong analytical and communications skills with the ability to transform style and content for technical and non-technical audiences.
Experienced in:
Software Development (involvement, hands on only desirable)
Stakeholder management (Business, Technical and internal ones)
Scope and Change management
Risk management
Demand forecasting management
Service improvement
Resource management
Service Management
Project/Service management
Impact assessment management
Development, motivation and retention of assigned staff.
Testing management experience:
Collaborates and coordinates with IT managers and personnel from teams including BA/QA, PMO and other Managers.
Very good computer skills (MS Office -Excel, PowerPoint, etc MS Project, MS Visio, etc)
Experienced with near-shore / off-shore factories
Understanding of cost & revenue drivers for an IT organization
Commitment to service excellence and customer experience
Flexibility in a rapidly changing and developing environment
Energetic, independent, organized and team player
Ability to guide project team on customer requirements and ensure a holistic OSS solution
Be able to work under pressure
Finally, the development of a strong relationship with our customer is a key performance indicator associated with this position
Desirable Requirement:
Experience in OSS Mobile/Telecommunications industry and Information Technology
Project Management certification ( Prince2 or PMP)
ITIL experience and knowledge
Hands-on Development background
Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
Monitoring tools knowledge
Telecommunications sector experience
Spanish
The role will:
Manage key software development workstreams and ensure E2E service visibility of deliverable tracked and driven to completion
Interface with customers’ IT OSS area
Ensure clear end to end service visibility of OSS development & progress
