Salary: £26,000 – £32,400 per year

About the role
It is an exciting time to consider being part of our team. We are focussing on growth to reach more carers and have made considerable investment in our workforce.
We have recently received funding to set up a brand-new counselling support service for adult carers across Norfolk. As part of the Carer Services team, you will work alongside the Carer helpline manager. Your key focus areas will be providing counselling support to adult carers (aged 18+) and supporting in the successful delivery of the service, including the supervision of any volunteer counsellors.
The successful candidate will have passed a counselling Level 4 Diploma course, or equivalent, and be a registered member of BACP or equivalent. They will also be able to provide counselling both in-person and either via telephone/virtually.

The post is available immediately on a fixed-term 12-month contract basis (with the possibility of extension depending on funding).

Annual leave
The successful candidate will be entitled to 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays (eight days) as well as the option to buy and sell annual leave in accordance with our policy.

Caring Together comply with all current legislation regarding auto-enrolment into a pension scheme for employees.
Entitlement to work

Working hours
Most hours worked will be between 09:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday, but we are looking for a candidate who would be available to work some hours at evenings and weekends in order to provide the most flexible service for carers. Caring Together is committed to ensuring a work life balance for our employees as well as supporting employees with priorities such as caring or other family commitments. We support flexible working patterns and arrangements where these are mutually agreed between the employee and their line manager.
