Tax Manager

Salary: £57,000 – £66,000 per year

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced tax specialist (personal tax) to join a high profile Stockport accountancy practice. You will join a professional and highly respected team where hard work and commitment are rewarded. In this role you will focus on personal tax compliance and client management. You will work closely with the directors and be a key hire within the business

Your role and responsibilities:

• Deliver a full range of personal tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe
• Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise
• Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns
• Identify and mitigate tax risks
• Manage the team of Tax Seniors and assistants and assess their performance
• Manage tax provision and tax compliance process
• Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices

Experience and Qualifications

-Good time management 

-Appropriate professional qualifications (ATT, CIOT, etc)

It is hoped that within a few years the successful candidate will become Tax Director at the firm as the present incumbent will be retiring. The salary offered is £57,000 – £66,000per annum and the current ‘tax team’ numbers just short of ten people. A parking space is also included along with many other benefits.

Working week (flexible)

Monday-Thursday 8.30am — 5.15pm

Friday 8.30am — 4.30pm
