Salary: £27,600 – £33,600 per year
My client is seeking an Electrical Engineering Graduate with Water Industry experience to join its team working in Birmingham or Derby.
This role will be based in offices in Birmingham or Derby
Role: You will be a key member of the team working within the co-located project offices, supporting your colleagues and advising your peers and other specialist areas on complex, often bespoke multi-disciplinary projects.
With a varied and interesting workload your day will be consist of undertaking feasibility studies for water treatment and supply or wastewater treatment, outline design, site visits to obtain date on existing assets, as well as liaising with external clients and agencies. Much of the work is spent within multi-disciplinary teams, therefore the ability to engage and build relationships with both internal and external clients is fundamental to the role, as is diplomacy and the ability to exchange accurate information. You will be expected to be flexible in your daily duties and be able to adapt to developing requirements.
In addition to an excellent attention to detail and a logical approach to your work, you will also possess excellent interpersonal skills and a passionate, enthusiastic approach to self and career progression. Providing support to the skills and technical leaders, you will also contribute to the creative design process while delivering creative engineering excellence to all our clients.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
*Good technical knowledge of and experience of designs within the water industry
*Working to design standards within the UK water industry
*Knowledge of water and waste water processes
*Knowledge of working in multi-disciplinary teams to demanding programmes
*Understanding of water maintenance and operations
*Relevant specialist software knowledge
*Good interpersonal and communication skills
*An understanding of the Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Health & Safety process
Qualifications:
*Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
*Working towards Charted Status with a relevant, recognised professional body.
Desirable skills and knowledge:
*Knowledge of working within both Contractor and Design organisations
