Role Purpose:
As our client continues to grow, so do their career opportunities… a new opportunity has arisen for Endoscopy Nurses to join their fantastic team in Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
This is an opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to work in a team who are at the forefront of the provision of elective surgical care to the local community by an independent provider. The unit provides post-operative care within the following disciplines – orthopaedics, general surgery, gynae, urology, ENT and ophthalmology. In addition there is a standalone endoscopy unit. Their Centre treats 14-15 000 patients annually, works in collaboration with local NHS trusts and the CCG – and is an excellent role for a nurse who values the ability to give high quality care within a dedicated environment.

Core Responsibilities:
As an Endoscopy Nurse, you will be expected to actively participate in and maintain the highest standard of care and safety for patients, visitors and staff in the Endoscopy department
In addition you will be expected to become competent in all aspects of clinical practice within the Endoscopy Department

Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:
To be successful in the role, you will have:
Recent clinical experience in endoscopy
Desirable but not essential:
Day surgery unit experience
Independent sector experience
NMC Registered General Nurse
Specialist endoscopy training e.g. ENB A87/N81/DO3 or equivalent
