Playground Surfacing Installer

Salary: £26,400 per year

We are recruiting for a Playground Surfacing Installer / Surfacing Installer / Artificial Grass Installer in the Birmingham and Solihull areas on behalf of a surfacing company that specialise in artificial grass, grass matting, wetpour, bonded rubber mulch and resin bound gravel surfacing solutions covering sports, play and recreation areas for a diverse customer base that includes public parks, schools, nurseries, new build housing estates and other outdoor areas.

You will be:

* Laying artificial surfacing – Grass Mats, Artificial Grass, Wetpour, Rubber Mulch and Resin Bound.

* Liaising and communicating with customers on site.

* Taking receipt of deliveries, unloading, and storing material.

* Ensuring Health & Safety regulations as well as Safe Working Practices are adhered to.

Maintaining a tidy workplace and clearing waste from site.

Work will cover the Midlands and on occasion further afield so flexibility for staying away is also a key requirement.

To be considered for one of these job opportunities you will need to have:

* A full UK Driving Licence.

* Surfacing experience (absolute minimum is installing Artificial Grass).

You will also need to be prepared to get:

* A CSCS Card.

* A DBS Certificate.

You will need to be used and happy to:

* Work Outside in all weathers.

* Manual labour.

* Work as part of a team taking instruction or be an experienced Team Leader.

* Take a flexible approach to working hours.

You will need to be:

* Self-motivated, trustworthy, reliable and a good communicator.

* Good at problem solving.

Full initial and ongoing training will be given on installation of all surfacing and ground preparation to ensure you are become a cross skilled and experienced member of the team.

If you have experience of any of the following it would be advantageous, if not then you must be happy to learn:

* Installing Wetpour or Mulch.

* Installing Playground equipment.

* Hard and Soft Landscaping.

* High end Grounds Maintenance.

* Using a range of plant and equipment (diggers, dumpers etc.,)

On offer is a salary of between £26,400 and £30,000 per year which is negotiable based on experience. An onsite working day of 8am to 4.30pm (travel time in addition to this), 4 weeks paid holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme, ongoing training, and the career progression opportunities you would expect by working for one of the UK’s leading surfacing companies.
