EYFS Intervention Officer (Birth to Three)
Band 5 £28,500-£44,925
Permanent, Full time Contract – 37 hours per week
Main office base is County Hall, Chelmsford but the role is covering the South Quadrant (Basildon, Castle Point & Rochford Districts)

Early Years and Childcare are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced individual to the posts of EYFS Intervention officer ( Birth to Three years ).

The applicant must have substantial expertise and knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and working with babies, young children and parents. The applicant should also have experience of leadership, mentoring and delivering training within the EYFS, as well as a proven track record of success in delivering high quality early years provision within an early years setting or in an advisory capacity.

The post holder will have the ability to work with and alongside practitioners in Children’s Centres, PVI settings and schools to develop and implement strategies to support quality improvement.

The ability to communicate effectively, influence others in a professional manner as well as an understanding of the wider childcare and early intervention national policy is required.

The post holder will need to hold a relevant degree and/or have equivalent experience which includes a substantial emphasis on child development, especially with regard to children under three.

The successful candidate will need to be mobile with access to a vehicle for work use and be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.

As part of employment with Essex County Council should your role require a DBS check you will be required to register with the DBS Update Service.

The DBS update service ensures all registered DBS certificates are kept up to date and allows authorised parties to view the status of your certificate. This is an annual subscription and you will be responsible for ensuring this is maintained.
