Clerk of Works

Our client is a large multi-disciplinary organisation that encompasses diverse skills and specialities to provide a comprehensive range of professional services to the UK building and construction industry.

They are now looking to recruit a Clerk of Works initially for an 18 month contract, possibly to go permanent in the longer term, with duties to include –

Duties:
• A Clerk of Works to be based in Cambridge area, preferably qualified (MICW), capable of working under their own initiative and as part of a group.
• The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an ability in undertaking inspections of building works in progress, predominantly repairs and refurbishment of housing tools, liaising with Building Contractors and preparing reports for Contract Administrators, and Project Management.
• The work will involve undertaking regular inspections of construction work to monitor progress, verifying compliance with contractual drawings, warranty standards and employers requirements, identifying discrepancies, preparing written reports with supporting photographs on weekly intervals and organising snagging and end of defect inspections with the Client in attendance.

Location: Cambridge area

Hours: 09.00 – 17.00, Monday to Friday
Holidays: From 24 days per annum, rising to 30 days depending on length of service
