My Client, a Hotel in Telford is looking for a Sous Chef to join their team. Using local and fresh ingredients, you will be working as part of a busy and professional Kitchen team. You will assist the Head Chef in running the day to day operations of the Kitchen.

Job Role
*Control the day to day running of the Kitchen team
*Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of all food areas
*Acting as a role model to junior members of the Chef Brigade
*Dealing with customer complaints and exceeding customer expectations at all times
*Ensuring budgeted food costs are met
*Assisting the Head Chef with performance against budget, and maintaining food cost percentage
*Assisting the Head Chef with department meetings
*Assisting with staff training and development
*Checking mis en place is ready for service
*Writing menus in the Head Chef’s absence as well as inputting menu ideas
*All other duties as and when required

Skills/Experience Required
*Previous Sous Chef experience within a Hotel environment is essential
*Proven kitchen experience
*Passion for food
*Must have experience of using fresh ingredients
