Delivery Driver & Warehouse Operative

Salary: £26,000 – £27,768 per year

Thorne and Wait are looking to recruit a delivery driver/warehouse operative your role will be to load and pack giving a great delivery service. In this role you will to maintain awareness and have a professional attitude towards work, the role is very physical and will involve manual handling.

Daily duties include:

• Make sure daily deliveries and collections are completed keeping following a daily schedule for deliveries and

• Advise on any extra and materials needed (pallets, containers, materials)

• To be a brand ambassador for all cliental interactions and services on behalf of the business

• Observe and report on activity levels in retail deliveries to retail supervisors

• Report weekly on each client activity to retail supervisors

• Develop and maintain a trusting relationship with the businesses clients

• Complete check sheets reporting any defects on vehicle

• All paperwork to be completed in a accurate and professional manner

• Supporting the warehouse manager in any warehouse tasks that need completed, e.g. cleaning stillage’s and ensuring fire exits are clear, recording incoming deliveries when in the warehouse, fulfilling other warehouse processes as agreed with management.

Potential candidates will need to carry the following skillsets

> Preferably both reach and counterbalance licence
> Be courteous & honest
> Will be reliable and practical
> Able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written format
> Will follow health and safety regulations
> Be physically fit
> Be organized and able to prioritise
