Plant Operative / Bakery Assistant

My client are a very well established pet food manufacturer who are now looking to add an experienced plant operative to their expanding team.

Operatives are to work in any area as required, i.e Baking, Mixing, Packing, Warehouse, cleaning duties. FLT (fork lift truck)

Key Accountabilities;

Customer focused, demand driven & able to cope with dynamic production environment for ambient production
Baking to required specifications; quality monitoring and recording
Mixing to required recipe specifications; record relevant information and complete designated paperwork.
Packing to specification, ie product type / required packing to material specifications as per customer requirements.
Picking and Packing to specified order picking list.
Adherence to company local and UK safety regulations
Ensure adherence to company local and national safety regulations
Ensure compliance with all quality, hygiene, environmental and standards
To carry out all above responsibilities and practices with the aim of producing food safely and to required internal / external specifications, within a HACCP framework.

Previous experience of working within the Food Industry is essential, preferably as a baker or bakers assistant. Basic Food and Hygiene preferred. Fork Lift Truck license is desirable.

Hours of work are Days 3 x 12 hours plus 1 x 4 hours

Mon Off
Tue-Thu 6am – 6pm
Fri 6am – 10am

Nights 1 x 4 hours plus 3 x 12 hours

Mon(Tue Morn) 2am – 6am
Tue-Thu 6pm – 6am
Fri Off

The Operative will be assigned to one shift and rotate weekly with that shift.
