COMPANY OUTLINE
A Newcastle-based Law Firm specialising in Conveyancing, are looking to recruit a Solicitor/ Licensed Conveyancer to join their thriving office based in the City Centre. THE ROLE
Responsible for handling your own case load of high volume and fast paced conveyancing matters, you will ensure these are accurately deal with and raise any enquiries necessary during the conveyancing process. You will analyze property title issues and advise clients and agents accordingly whilst providing full support to the conveyancing teams and the Head of Conveyancing all whilst providing a high level of customer service at all times.
Specific role duties will include
– Obtaining and checking land registry documents and title deeds (if the land is unregistered).
– Ensuring all files comply with the company policies and the regulatory framework of the Council for Licensed Conveyancers.
– Carrying out and checking pre-contract searches by checking whether the property is affected by local authority proposals, leases, easements or covenants, mortgages, land tax, susceptibility to flooding or subsidence or liability for unsound building structures and repairs.
– Advising clients on the technical content of the documents and their implications.
– Protecting the interests of the client at all times, whilst taking precautions against potential fraud and money laundering.
– To immediately advise the management of any issues that have been brought to your attention regarding any matter regarding Money Laundering or deemed out of the ordinary or that may escalate to a complaint towards us or a partner agent.
You will also be expected to undertake general administration duties, using a high degree of self-management and initiative.
THE EXPERIENCE
To succeed within this role, you will be a qualified licensed conveyancer or equivalent with up to 2 years PQE. With extensive experience in dealing with conveyancing matters such as purchases, sales, and remortgages from inception to conclusion. It would be preferable, though not essential if you also have experience of working in a firm dealing with volume conveyancing and possess experience of managing a team.
As a Solicitor/ Licensed Conveyancer, a confident manner is required as you will be dealing with clients both in person and on the phone, of which clear, accurate and up to date information must be articulated. The ability to effectively manage your time is key due to the workload involved, and you must be organised and punctual with strong attention to detail.

THE SALARY
In return, you will receive a starting Salary between £30,000and £32,000 per year depending on experience.
THE CONTRACT
This is a permanent, full-time position.
