Safety Assessor – Cosmetics and Toiletries

Our Yorkshire based client is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Cosmetic Safety Assessor to be responsible for planning and conducting cosmetic safety assessments, toxicological reviews and associated activities.

Please note – this position can be remote working from anywhere in the UK!

Duties for this position will include:-

* Conducting safety assessments, including toxicological reviews, product safety assessments, data sheets / product information pack reviews, review of cosmetic labelling, writing cosmetic manuals and providing training.

* Understanding cosmetic safety regulations and other relevant legislation and ensuring standards are maintained.

* Conducting toxicological risk assessments for products.

* Providing technical support to colleagues and clients as required.

* Understanding product assessment requirements and ensuring correct testing programmes are used.

You will need a BSc / MSc in Cosmetic Sciences (or similar), together with previous suitable skills and abilities gained in the cosmetic / toiletries industry. Ideally you will already be a registered Chartered Chemist (CChem), Chartered Biologist, Medic or Pharmacist.
