Senior Team Leader

Our client are proud of their reputation for delivering quality education and care services with positive outcomes for children and young people aged 5 to 25 who have experienced difficulties in their previous education placements.

They are an independent specialist day and residential school for boys and girls aged 7-19 years with high functioning autistic spectrum disorders and associated difficulties.

The school has been specifically designed to provide a strong focus for young people who need different levels of support to succeed, thus allowing young people with autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger�s syndrome and associated difficulties to thrive effectively in an ever demanding and complex society. Students have ambitions to live and work as self reliant adults and we can help pupils to reach their goals with continued support, structure and guidance.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a strong, enthusiastic and highly motivated leader who has a sound knowledge of ASD but who can also offer knowledge and experience of working with a variety of children and young people with challenging, complex and diverse needs. They require a senior care practitioner to take responsibility for 2 residential units accommodating up to 16 young people. One of these units is located off the main campus site.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic forward thinker who can work proactively to lead and direct a team of staff to develop and ensure the implementation of excellent standards of care. You will be a problem solver with the ability to �think on your feet� to respond to the ever changing and diverse needs of our students.

The role will require the individual to undertake shift work (this may include weekend working). also work 44.6 hours per week, term time only

You must be an established level 3 practitioner and also hold or be working towards QCF Diploma level 5.
