Salary: £36,000 per year
Do you have a minimum of one year’s experience as a Housing Officer in supported/sheltered housing with mental health, learning disability or older tenants?
You will also need to have a good understanding of vulnerable tenants needs in a social housing context, experience of claiming housing benefit, best practice in harassment and anti-social behaviour and understanding housing law.
You will need a minimum of x5 GCSE’s and a housing qualification is desirable.
Remit:
The main purpose of this post is to provide a supportive housing management service to tenants, work closely with a range of internal departments and external organisations to ensure tenants can maintain their tenancies. Manage the service by a high level of housing management and maintenance of properties including assessing and setting rents. Attend meetings with benefits agencies, Local Authorities working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure services are delivered in line with the appropriate timeframes.
Your core duties are around housing management, housing maintenance and support and welfare of the tenants/residents.
The Requirement:
* A minimum of x5 GCSE subjects
* A relevant housing or management qualification is desirable
* A minimum of one year working in supported/sheltered housing within mental health, learning disability or older tenants
* Experience of claiming housing benefit
* A good understanding of best practice in harassment & anti-social behaviour
* Understanding of housing law and taking legal action against breaches of a tenancy
* Respective and responsive
* Reliable and well organised
