Description
Responsible for developing robust hardware to meet specific requirements. Production and maintenance of design documents in compliance with Medical Standards and internal Quality Assurance processes.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
1.Prior Medical Device design experience
2.Analogue Design (AudioFilters, power circuitry and discrete design); Passive and active filter design;
3.Digital and FPGA design (with PCle experience)
4.System architecture design (Intel/ARM systems)
5.Some embedded experience with microcontrollers*
Key Tasks:
*Develop robust hardware from specific requirements;
*Produce and maintain design documents;
*Project leading;
*Comply with Medical Standards and internal QA processes;
*Assist in software/hardware validation, verification and test processes from time to time;
*Support and maintain legacy products;
*Develop digital circuits from specific requirements.
Attribute:
*Qualifications and experience relevant to the role
*Experience of working within a regulated industry
*Experience with Medical Device Directive (IEC6061 3rd edition)
*Design and development process
*Quality Control Process
*Capable of developing robust hardware from specific requirements using the following software packages:
1.CADSTAR (Schematic layout with some PCB layout);
2.OrCAD;
3.CADSoft (Eagle);
4.Analogue Spice Simulation (any);
5.Digital Simulation
Skills relevant to the role:
*Analogue Design (AudioFilters, power circuitry and discrete design);
*Passive and active filter design;
*Digital and FPGA design (with PCle experience)
*Power management design (Intel/ARM systems)
*Power management design (battery backup circuitry)
*System architecture design (Intel/ARM systems)
*Project management experience
*Full Driving Licence
Desirable
*DSP Design experience
*Some embedded experience with microcontrollers
*RF circuit design knowledge (with modulator / quadrature Doppler systems)
*RFI and MC experience (CE medical grade requirements)
*Ultrasound experience (medical or consumer products)
