NVQ Assessor
Location: Surrey

Due to our on-going success and to fulfil our plans for continuous development of the organisation, we are recruiting for an NVQ Assessor to join our Group Training Team to be based at Woodstock House, Surbiton, Surrey.

About The Job:

Reporting to The Group Training Manager the NVQ Assessor is responsible for the assessment and support of our employees working towards their Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care. In addition, the assessor ensures that employees meet the occupational standards needed to achieve the Diploma. As an assessor you will be required to observe employees in their workplace and will therefore need to be fully flexible in your commitment to our organisation. (This will include some weekend and evening work.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Meeting candidates at least once per month within the workplace to provide support, prepare action plans, undertake assessments and provide feedback on performance.
• Assisting candidates to interpret the Learning Outcomes and Assessment Criteria.
• Judging whether the evidence is of sufficient quality to meet the standards.
• Keeping up to date with code of practice, terminology and documentation.
• Attending regular team and standardisation meetings with other assessors, the programme co-ordinator and the centre co-ordinator to ensure a consistent approach.
• Ensuring candidate files & individual CPD are kept up to date and available on a regular basis for review by the Internal Verifier.
• Attending external verification meetings.

Essential Experience Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care
• Experience of working within a Child Care environment
• Experience of Delivering & Supporting Training programs
• Experience of assessing & supporting NVQ training programs

Remuneration Package

The successful applicant will be offered a Fixed Term Contract (up to 9 months) that will consist of a basic Salary: £26,000(Pro-Rata) as well as comprehensive training and other company benefits such as; Pension, Life Assurance, Child Care Voucher Scheme and not to forget our Stunning Work Locations.
