Junior Web Developer – Java – C# – SQL – Javascript/jQuery Library – experience with websites using dynamic content – understanding of object oriented programming – excellent opportunity to develop skills – based Harrogate, North Yorkshire – Salary: £26,000per year plus private health cover and life assurance.

We are looking for a Junior Web Developer with skills in Java, C#, SQL, Javascript/jQuery Library and experience with websites using dynamic content and an understanding of object oriented programming to join an existing team

Candidates for the position of Junior Web Developer (Java/C#/SQL/ Javascript/jQuery Library) may also, preferably, have skills, experience or knowledge of XML/JSON, HTML, CSS, Visual Studio, Android Studio/Eclipse and pf extending and maintaining code written by other developers and researching and resolving complex bugs. These skills are preferable but not essential

Day to day responsibilities of the Junior Web Developer (Java/C#/SQL/ Javascript/jQuery Library) will include:
• Assisting the web developer in the development of new, and enhancing existing, web-based applications and Java-based mobile apps.
• Performing research into new technologies that may benefit the efficiency and user-experience of applications.
• Working with designers, front end and project management staff to capture requirements for the functional elements of web-based projects.
• Assisting the web developer with all stages of the software lifecycle.
• Assisting the web developer and designer to ensure cross-browser compatibility of all web applications including mobile/tablet browsers.
• Contributing to the upkeep of media file storage systems and folder structures.
