Workshop Engineer

Salary: £27,600 – £30,000 per year

A leading provider of software and solutions, based in Surrey are looking to recruit for a Workshop Engineer. This is a full time, permanent office based role with an immediate start.
Hours: Mon – Fri 9am – 5:30pm
Salary range: £27,600 – £30,000
As a Workshop Engineer you will be responsible primarily for the commencement of Projects – assisting the procurement process and to build to order. Within this you will also handle RMAs resultant from faulty hardware on customer sites, stock management and ensuring deliveries and dispatches are handled and managed appropriately.
Responsibilities to include:
* Use the Atlassian Jira ticketing system to identify new builds
* Cross reference with the Operations Admin team to confirm full delivery
* Build the order and complete the required documentation
* Maintain weekly stock checks
* Test faulty hardware upon receipt
* Main focal point for handling deliveries and shipments
Requirements:
* Ability to convey information concisely and accurately to all parts of the business and all levels of management
* Experience in troubleshooting and fault finding computer/service hardware and software
* Basic IT skills – knowledge of Windows 7/10 and MS Office (Word and Excel)
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to move boxes of around 30kg
* Knowledge of Windows Server OS and Linux preferential, but not essential
