Year 1/2 Teaching Assistant

Salary: £26,000 per year

Masterclass Education are a leading supply teaching agency based in and operating throughout the Yorkshire and Humberside region. We are currently recruiting for a Year 1/2 teaching assistant for a good school based in the Leeds area. The role is 5 days a week with an immediate start and will become a permanent position for the right candidate.

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will need to have the following:

• A CACHE level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• A current, enhanced DBS on the online update service (or be willing to undertake one)
• 1:1 and group support experience
• Interventions experience
• Enthusiastic and supportive attitude 
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to keep students focused and engaged
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
