Business Development Manager

An exciting role for a Business Development Manager has arisen with my client, a global leader in the interior fit out industry, based near Manchester. This is a busy role for a tenacious individual who has experience of working in a similar role. You will have a background in construction, design and build, interior fit out, interior lighting or interior design and be a driven sales person with a tenacious attitude and you must be target driven.

This is an important role where you will be meeting the clients face to face and be pitching the business to potential clients. You will be liaising with current clients to keep their records up to date to maximise opportunities with them. This role requires someone who has had lots of face to face experience with clients and who can represent the company in a professional way and must be knowledgeable of the interiors industry.

This is a very interesting and varied role and experience in a similar role would be a major advantage as this is a senior position. This is a busy role, but for the right person, a very enjoyable role with great job satisfaction when targets are hit.

Duties will be:

– First point of contact with clients
– Represent the company in a positive and professional light
– Offer knowledgeable advice both to new and existing clients
– Assist the design team with new opportunities
– Negotiating fees and arranging schedules for the project
– Liaise with design team to a mood board to meet client requirements
– Develop detailed designs and sourcing materials
– Supervise onsite as the work is carried out
– Liaise with clients, colleagues and suppliers throughout the process

What we are looking for:

– Previous experience in construction, design and build, interior fit out, interior lighting or interior design
– Experience in a new business/business development role
– Target driven and tenacious who can come into an already existing office and hit the ground running
– Professional and personable with commercial acumen
– Self-starter and self motivated
– Someone who can liaise at all levels from manager to director to CEO

In return you can expect:

– Basic salary of £36,000 – £42,000DOE
– Competitive Bonus structure
– Hours Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm
– Car Allowance
