MOT Tester

Salary: £21.6 – £27.6 per hour

Are you a passionate and motivated MOT Tester looking for the next move in your career? We are currently working with our well established client who is looking for an experienced MOT Tester to join their team on a temporary contract basis in Mansfield.

The successful candidate will be based in a dealership environment and must be able to adapt to a fast paced workshop. You will be responsible for carrying out MOT inspections, ensuring that all vehicles are tested in accordance with Ministry standards. Further duties include: rectifying faults and failures, general maintenance of vehicles, general service work, preparing and completing vehicle inspection reports. You will also be a strong communicator as you will need to liaise with different departments across the dealership.

Your hours will be 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (minimum 8 hours a day). You may also work an additional weekend and this will be paid at a weekend rate. Please note weekends are not mandatory.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 4 and 7 MOT Testing Licence
• Level 1/2/3 City and Guilds /IMIA/BTEC/NVQ/Edexel in Light Motor Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Proven experience as an MOT Tester in a garage or main dealer environment
• Knowledge of MOT testing standards and procedures
• A full category “B” driving licence
