Principal Electronics Engineer

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a busy engineering organisation as a Principal Electronics Engineer who will contribute to establishing and directing the design and development of new product hardware.

The Principal Electronics Engineer role will focus on maintaining existing products as well as overseeing and undertaking the prototyping and testing of new products. You will be responsible for producing high quality electronics design for new products, provide electrical technical direction and leadership to the R&D team and providing PCB design solutions.

The ideal candidate for this Principal Electronics Engineer will have a real breadth of experience in electronics, covering areas such as
– Electronics system design including power electronics
– Analogue and digital design
– PCB design/layout
– Development of FPGAs solutions
– Testing and development of prototype designs
– Product life-cycle with product approvals / EMC compliance
– Competence on hardware/software based IT systems:
– FPGA coding and testing experience (Altera)
– PCB design package (Altium)

You will be degree qualified with significant industry experience and a proven track record of acting as a technical lead and working in a matrix environment. Great communication skills, proactive attitude and lots of energy will set you apart from competition.
