Salary: £26,000 per year
BRC Social Housing are seeking experienced Support Workers for an on-going (possible temp-perm) full time opportunity based in North Somerset.
The main function of the Support Worker is to provide support to clients over the age of 18 who have enduring mental health needs, Schizophrenia and Personality Disorders.
You must be able to work on a shift pattern (also weekends) to include:
Early shifts
Late shifts
Day Shifts
Waking night shifts
The main duties of the Support Worker would be:
Some aspects of personal care
Helping clients to get dressed, washed, bathing and using the toilet when necessary
Help in the promotion of the mental and physical activity of the clients by talking to them, taking them out, carrying out activities and other various recreations.
Changing of bed linen
Helping cooking
Accompanying them to appointments
Read and write in log books and record any meetings and training
Adhering to individual clients care plans
Recording of client`s information
Manage a caseload of clients
Encouraging independent living
As a Support Worker you must have:
Enhanced DBS check
Previous experience of working as a support worker
Working with clients that have mental health needs or complex needs
Lone working experience
