Job Title Sheet Metal Fabricator Welder

Based At Stowmarket, Suffolk
Reports to Production Manager
Hours of Work 8.00am to 4.30pm Mon to Fri + possible overtime during busy periods
Rate of Pay Competitive depending on experience, from £26,000+ per year
Job Type Full Time – Term of Work 13 Weeks + Which could lead to a Perm role

Job Purpose

The Sheet Metal Fabricator Welder role is to fabricate sheet metal, angle, box, plate for use in the assembly of machines by the production department.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Measuring, marking out sheet metal
 Use of cutting, drilling, powered rollers and hand grinding machinery
 Set and programme a Press Brake
 Fabricate items to drawings
 Reading engineering drawings
 Use of MIG, TIG and other welding processes
 Use of hand tools associated with welding techniques
 Maintain clean working environment at all times
 Ensure health and safety standards are met at all times

Skills and Attributes

 Must have good fabrication and sheet metal experience, ideally having completed at least 3 years fabrication apprenticeship or equivalent
 Good communication skills
 Strong work ethic with dedication to safety and efficiency
 Excellent attention to detail
 Honest and trustworthy
 Team player with flexible approach
 Good problem solving skills
 Can do attitude

 Three year Welding Fabrication Apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ 3
