Salary: £60,000 – £72,000 per year
Our long serving client a Property Management company are currently look for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join there growing service offering during there current expansion process.
About the Role
- 2+ years’ post-qualification experience – ideally to include Home Surveys, Dilapidations
- Ensure projects are completed on budget and to schedule
- Advise clients on schemes and projects and determine requirements
- Prepare scheme designs with costings, programmes for completion of projects and specification of works
- Organise documents for tender and advise on appointing contractors, designers and procurement routes
- Determine the condition of existing buildings, identify and analyse defects, including proposals for repair
- Qualified Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS or FRICS).
About You
- Able to undertake preparation of specifications and contract administration work and to act as the principal designer under CDM 2015 regulations.
- Able to undertake defect investigation reports.
- Experience in CAD drawings preferable.
- Design capability.
- Practise in local authority applications and approval, including to Heritage properties.
- Experience in acting as the building owner’s and adjoining owner’s surveyor in regards to party wall matters.
- Able to undertake and assist with insurance reinstatement cost assessments is preferable.
- Experience of mentoring, or acting as counsellor, for APC students is preferable, but not essential.
