Salary: £90,000 per year
Our Client are a leading electronic manufacturing business based in East Sussex. The company currently require a talented Data Analyst to join the business.
Purpose of the role:
- Work with our Performance Data Analyst, Embedded Developer and CTO to develop and integrate back & front-end data analysis tools for our commercial product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining the company database, and associated pipelines, which will have multi-platform access.
- Use this database to interpret and perform statistical analyses on the rider’s data and help the team understand the impact of specific conditions on aerodynamic drag.
- Help integrate machine learning algorithms for: improving user-friendliness of device set-up and calibration procedure.
- Developing a live feedback system informing the user about aerodynamic gain/losses during cycling.
- Provide solutions for rider profiling, e.g., for pacing strategies recommendations, from existing rider’s data.
- Identify ways to improve data handling and visualisation at the user interface.
Skills Required:
- A degree in computer science, mathematical/physical sciences or related topics.
- Demonstrated commercial experience.
- In-depth understanding and experience in database architecture design, data orchestration and management.
- Proficiency in Python, and ideally another relevant low- and/or high-level programming language (C, C#. Java is a plus. ). Strong coding skills are in any case required.
- Strong analytical & mathematical skills, including knowledge of standard statistical techniques (e.g. comparison with theoretical models, regression, etc).
- Capability to independently extract and interpret relevant information from the data (e.g. application of machine learning techniques, multi-parameter space exploration).
- Proficiency in SQL and general knowledge of cloud and data warehouse services (e.g. AWS).
- Knowledge of distributed analytics tools for large data sets, not essential but a plus.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. git & git clients).
- An interest, or experience, in sports and performance is preferred
- Someone who likes working in a team, have a problem-solving mindset and is focused on the user experience
- Ability to work on-site some of the time.
Salary:
- Up to £90,000plus a comprehensive benefits package.
