An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for rapidly expanding express parcels company as an PM SHIFT MANAGER based at their CRAWLEY location.
The role reporting directly into the Depot Manager will be to run the shift in its entirety, which incorporates anything upto 15 – 20 Warehouse operatives. You will responsible for ensuring that the shift operates at the highest standards, that the containers and equipment are readily available and vehicle loading and unloading is carried out efficiently. You will also be responsible for training and improving the skills levels and standards throughout the warehouse team.
The ideal candidate will require excellent management skills and knowledge of organising a large workforce in an EXPRESS PARCELS or DISTRIBUTION environment. Possessing a Fork Lift Truck Licence and/or workplace First Aid Certificate would also be advantageous.
To be successful in this role you will need to possess:
Full Clean Drivers Licence
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Computer Literacy
Ability to work on your own initiative
A highly organised approach
Strong teambuilding and leadership skills
A positive approach to motivating people
Health & Safety Focused
Your normal hours of work will be: Monday to Friday – 2pm – 10pm
However, due to the nature of the position, you may be required to undertake working weekends and your start and finish times may vary to suit the needs of the business.
