Health & Safety Inspector

Health & Safety Executive / Health & Safety Inspector required in the South of England. The H&S Executive will be tasked with undertaking on-site progress inspections. You will monitor on-site health and safety procedures & document the results of these inspections. This will involve carrying out spot checks to ensure health and safety guidelines are being followed to reduce the chance of an incident.

The role will involve travel throughout the South of England, occasional overnights stays are to be expected.

The company already has an H&S policy and procedure in place and this role will involve carrying out that policy and reporting any incidents that occur.

Environmental Health & Safety Inspector Position Overview

• Undertake on site work in progress inspections
• Document the results of these inspections on the pre-prepared inspection
• Take corrective action, instruction and on-site training where required
• Investigate accidents and incidents and complete reports with guidance from Manager
• Periodic Depot site audits and fire risk assessments
• Extension travel attending sites throughout the South of England.

Environmental Health & Safety Inspector Requirements
• Ideally you will have some H&S certificate – NEBOSH or IOSH
• H&S Executive / inspector experience at construction sites
• Desire to build a career in health & safety environment.

Environmental Health & Safety Inspector Position Remuneration
• Salary: £26,000per year
• 20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
• Company Car

This is a fixed 1 year contract position.
