Salary: £480 – £577.2 per day

Recruiting for an IT Project Manager, this is a 1-year fixed term contract, offering attractive remuneration and the flexibility to be based remotely or working from the Kent offices!
JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Project Manager’s central role is to plan, execute, and finalise projects according to strict deadlines. This role will be accountable for acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, third-party contractors, and consultants to deliver projects according to plan. Possibly have ‘dotted line’ responsibility for Project Owners during the duration of the project. This person will have the ability to influence and shape the future environment for the business as the priorities are based on opportunities for growth and also managing any risk. As a Project Manager you are responsible for completing the project work in line with the plan and will report progress to Senior Managers.
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. This person will have strong analytical skills and be able to handle multiple projects at any one time.
The Project Manager role is key to support a dynamic shift in the Company’s architecture. Our client are looking to build a ‘best of breed’ solution architecture. The goal is to allow them to move from a monolithic architecture to a best of breed headless commerce solution. In the competitive and ever-changing world of ecommerce it is crucial that our client offers integrated and personalised shopping experiences. Given that customer expectations are constantly changing and they expect seamless experiences across channels and touchpoints, this evolution has allowed them to rethink their ecommerce strategy and progress from full-stack models into a collection of best of breed technologies.
This role will take the commerce technical guide form a high level overview and support the team in defining the products and services required that will form part of the new architecture. This role will manage the project road map, costings, communication flow and use their Business Anaylsis skills to ensure the new products and services are aligned to the Company’s current and future needs.
Our client are looking to incorporate three key features into it’s design – Flexibility, Scalability and Customisation. All these elements will be influenced by the best services available and integrated through API extensions and microservices.
JOB CONTEXT:
This role is at the heart of delivery to the customer, and as such interfaces with all departments across the business. Responsible for co-ordinating a project from inception to conclusion. Involved throughout the project cycle, coordinating and managing the final execution of the project and project costs.
Responsible for tracking the project against the schedule, budget and constantly reviews objectives against each phase.
SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:
* Prince2 or Six Sigma essential
* Degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent
* Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience in a variety of sectors – experience in Retail/E-Commerce advantageous
* Excellent Leadership skills
* Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office
* Experience of Agile environment
* Excellent organisation skills, to plan the use of people and resources to meet deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and lead the stakeholders involved in the project(s)
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage expectations
* Ability to monitor and control spend/costs
* Ability to use initiative and make decisions under pressure
