Position: Graduate Engineer – Water/Wastewater

Salary: £30,000 – £42,000plus excellent benefits

Our client is the UK’s largest regulated water only supply business operating in three regions in the south east of England. They operate over 100 water treatment works and distribute our water through a network of mains 16,500 km long. It is their vision to be the leading community focused water company in the UK.

Job Purpose:

The Physical Asset Management Department ensures the provision of assets sufficient to enable them to deliver water to meet customer needs in a sustainable and efficient way. The department is accountable for identifying all needs to maintain and improve above ground and below ground assets within Affinity Water including programmes and projects for a multi-million pound AMP 6 Capital Programme.

The success of the role will be measured by the capability of our assets to satisfy regulatory standards whilst maintaining customer value and meeting levels of service requirements.

Key Responsibilities for the role:

Improve the performance of the team to meet performance targets for physical assets
Achieve and maintain operational excellence in asset management
Own the processes, standards and techniques to safeguard the assets and meet regulatory requirements
Work with the Asset Delivery, Production, Community Operations and Capability Centres teams to achieve commercial objectives
Challenge, innovate and contribute to the development of methodologies to improve performance
Responsibility for large diameter mains Asset Management
Project Management of construction/condition assessment/improvement projects
Site Management
Electrical Standards
Project sponsorship

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Awareness of Water Quality, Environmental and Engineering standards
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Awareness of Health & Safety procedures

Qualifications

Degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
Full driving licence
