Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

Salary: £35,160 – £57,120 per year

Are you a qualified Electrical or Multi-skilled Technician? Do you enjoy working outdoors, in different locations? If so, as a Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) Electrical MechanicaI and Instrumentation Technician, you’ll be a fantastic asset to our team of Technicians!

This is a field-based role, so the successful candidate can expect themselves to be working anywhere across Bristol, BANES and Wiltshire.

The role

We are looking for an electrically qualified technician with industrial work experience to maintain a diverse variety of plant and equipment, both mechanical and electrical. You will need to work with minimal direct supervision, but you will have support through various forms of communication.

You will need to have worked in an industrial setting, being conversant with level control, pressure transducers, motor control centres, three phase power, motors and power distribution. Mechanical pumps and gearbox knowledge would also be advantageous. In return, you will have freedom to develop your skills and be part of a top-ranking utility company.

Day to day you will plan preventative maintenance, attend breakdowns using fault finding skills and report on asset condition. You will be required to make modifications to control philosophy where needed and manage personal stock and critical spares.

Please note, as we work in a 24/7 operational team you will be required to cover out-of-hours call-outs within a standby rota. Training will be provided to bring the suitable candidate to a level of competence. Overtime is also available when required.

What do I need?

We are looking for an engaging Electrical or Multi-skilled Technician who ideally has previous experience maintaining sewage pumping systems.

Alternatively, consideration will be given if you have a background working on 24/7 plant-based machinery which involves maintenance, three phase power, control circuits and fault finding.

To be considered, you must have achieved at least one of the following qualifications:

* Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering

* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering

* City and Guilds in Electrical Engineering

* HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.

Due to the remote nature of this role, candidates will need to hold a valid full UK driving licence.
