Trainee Accountant

Salary: £36,000 – £48,000 per year

Opportunity to join a growing Accountancy Practice as a Trainee Accountant and undertake a formal training contract to study for your AAT qualification.

Trainee Accountant – About the Role

You will undertake bookkeeping to trial balance, prepare VAT returns and reconcile balance sheet accounts whilst studying towards your AAT qualification.

In addition you will prepare client payrolls, personal tax returns, assist on audits for the firm, and develop, document and update new procedures and systems as required.

You will also be supported to complete your AAT certification and studies.

The successful Trainee Accountant will have:

* GCSE Maths and English, (Grade B or above).

* Three A’Levels, including Mathematics, (Grade B or above).

* Excellent knowledge of Outlook, Excel & Microsoft Word

* Initiative and drive

* Organised with a “can do” attitude and is not afraid to take on new tasks.

* Accuracy, attention to detail and working to deadlines.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also important.
