Technical Communications Specialist

Manpower are currently recruiting for a Technical Communications Specialist, carrying out the following role;

Technical Communications Specialists are responsible for delivering high-quality information products that meet business needs of the business software system. Technical Communications Specialists plan, develop, deliver, and maintain information products to support software product development and deployment, which include, but are not limited to, Online Help, Installation Guides, Release Notes, Training Manuals, and videos.

Skill Set
*Proficient communication and presentation skills in English
*Information-gathering techniques (interviewing SMEs, working with software, reviewing specifications documents, attending product demos, researching source content)
*Writing and editing succinctly and clearly
*Graphics capture and basic editing
*Exposure to HTML or XML, or basic knowledge of DITA a plus
*Business savvy a plus

Experience
*Intensive writing background
*Ability to write and edit against style guides
*Knowledge of Microsoft Manual of Style, Chicago Style Guide a plus

Tools
*Adobe Acrobat Professional
*Microsoft Office
*XML Editing tools such as XMetaL, Oxygen, or Arbortext
*Source control tools such as Perforce, SVN, etc.
*Exposure to Content Management Systems
