(Food) Quality Assurance Administrator

OVERVIEW; QA / Quality Control / Quality Assurance Administrator – Food factory experience essential along with HACCP, GMP audits, internal audits, product inspections.

Office location is NEWBURY, Berkshire.

Salary dependent on experience – £26,000 – £26,400plus benefits package.

THE COMPANY;
My client is a reputable, expanding FMCG company which specialises in the creation of a huge variety of foods and sauces. Their customers include three of the UK’s biggest and leading supermarket chains! Due to organic growth and acquisition they now seek to hire more experienced QA professionals to join the existing team in Newbury to ensure that all foods are manufactured to the highest possible standard for their blue-chip customers.

THE ROLE;
Your role will be varied and challenging and will include but not be limited to the following duties;
* Providing technical and quality support for all production
* Supporting and back-up all process quality checks
* Controlling and implementing systems, procedures and work instructions to ensure consistent quality standards are met
* Performing all technical administrative functions
* Supporting in all staff training
* Ensuring that food safety is applied and implemented through the effective implementation and monitoring of HACCP
* Carrying out internal audits for procedural & HACCP compliance, product inspections & occasional GMP audits
* Ensuring that all legislative requirements are met.

CANDIDATE PROFILE;
You will be a strong match to the below profile –
* Degree or equivalent qualified within a food related subject
* Previous QA experience, gained in a FMCG environment
* Experience of quality management systems and processes
* You will be at an advantage if you have any experience of glass and hard plastic audits and/or if you have chilled / high risk / wet foods experience
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Excellent communication skills, written and spoken
* Good eye for detail
* Confident and assertive approach
