Salary: £30,000 – £48,000 per year

On behalf of our international client we are looking for an Associate Manager to join tehir team on a permanent basis to play an active part in the development and growth of a Real Estate financing business within the London branch. To utilise core Real Estate, cashflow and financing skills to support the Head of Commercial Property to identify, analyse and execute senior financing opportunities in line with the Bank’s risk appetite. To establish strong relationships with select market counter-parties in order to further the Bank’s business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

To play the key support role in a small team with regard to the origination, analysis and execution of Real Estate financing transactions. Transactions will be both bilateral and club financings predominantly in the UK.

To undertake cashflow modelling analysis of all potential financing opportunities. To maintain and enhance a template cashflow model to be used across the Real Estate portfolio.

To assist with the relationship management and internal credit/risk reporting of the Bank’s existing Real Estate financing book.

To contribute to the development of the Bank’s Real Estate financing appetite and strategy. To understand and communicate this strategy to key business introducers and market counterparties.

To assist with the monitoring and restructuring of higher risk exposures when required.

To develop UK Real Estate market knowledge and, along with the Head of Commercial Property, fulfil the role as specialist in that asset class for the Bank.

To undertake ad-hoc, time critical, Real Estate related projects as the business or its Head Office may require.

Required Experience & Qualifications

5+ years of solid experience in Real Estate banking

Excellent excel cash modelling skills

Strong ‘hands on’ knowledge of Real Estate and financial markets

Client facing experience – across the whole spectrum of Real Estate counterparties

Ability to conduct due diligence and execution processes for Real Estate financing transactions

The ability to both source and filter opportunities being presented to the Bank and make reasoned recommendations to Senior Management/Credit Committee.

Ability to be flexible with workloads and procedures, ensuring a smooth day-to-day running of the Real Estate department.

Skills – strong IT, communication and interpersonal skills.
