Company Overview

Our client is a privately owned 15 year old SME with 4 offices across the UK and a network of 60+ retail outlets. Due to investment from head office our client is looking to expand their IT team situated in Stoke-on-Trent. As a result an opportunity for a graduate PHP Web Developer is now available.

Role Overview

The successful Web Developer will work alongside the web development manager and graphic designers. You will be responsible for developing customer-facing websites, internal applications and internal intranet sites. This will eventually including development for mobile devices and some bespoke development for external applications.

Qualifications & Experience

The Successful PHP Developer will have the following skills & experience:

• Educated to degree level in web development (OR 12/18 months continuous commercial experience)
• Have an understanding of OOP PHP
• Experience with MVC Frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, CakePHP or similar),
• JavaScript MVC
• MySQL, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS & CSS3
• Experience with a VersionControl (GIT) is an advantage

The ability to solve problems, be self-reliant and take a brief from conception to completion with minimal supervision is essential.
