My client who is a national market leader with multiple brands in the chilled food group. They are looking for a strong Hygiene Manager to head up their ever-expanding team due to increased investment. Role and Main Responsibilities

• To budget and account for all cleaning equipment, materials and staffing.

• To manage the night shift team, to ensure that all cleaning and other night operations are performed satisfactorily and to the required standards and schedules.

• To communicate with and maintain harmonious relationships with all department managers on hygiene and night operation duties and matters.

• To attend all internal/external audits as and when required.

• Ensure that the company is compliant with all food hygiene law, statutes and guidelines.

• To liaise with the technical/micro manager on all micro issues.

• To ensure that all relevant hygiene paperwork and schedules are kept up to date, in good order and will withstand full auditing.

• To ensure that all factory hygiene monitoring / sign off sheets are correctly completed and signed off as required.

• Liaise with the sites’ Chemical supplier as and when required.

• To follow through and report on any project work given by the technical management team.

• To ensure adequate training of all staff via the technical management team and personnel department.

• To ensure that the correct personal protective clothing is available and worn by the right hygiene team and that health and safety regulations regarding chemical usage are followed.

• To ensure that the correct number of hygiene operatives is maintained at all times.

• To ensure all work procedures are in place and all staff understand their respective tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Preferably degree level or equivalent but good level of basic education.
• Knowledge of food hygiene systems / requirements.
• Basic to advanced level of knowledge in health and safety.
• Integrity and good interpersonal skills.
• Pragmatic approach and administration ability.
• Computer literate.
• Experience in high risk food environment.

Hours of Work

• 08:00am – 16:00pm, Monday to Friday
