Salary: £27,600 – £30,000 per year

39 hrs/wk Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm and Friday 6:30am to 1:30pm.

MacArthur Recruitment is seeking a Senior Stock Controller to join a successful manufacturing business based in North-West Cumbria.

The role will see you taking responsibility for the stock control of the site’s key components as well as monitoring the daily workload of Stock Controllers and redistribute as required. You will also deputise for the Material Control Manager during holidays, etc.

Person Specification for the role of Senior Stock Controller:

* MS Office – Word, Outlook and advanced Excel.

* Experience in manufacturing supply function.

* 5 GCSEs (A-C equivalent).

* Working in an organised, accurate and timely manner in order to meet specific deadlines.

* Professional and confident telephone manner when communicating with suppliers.

* Flexibility is essential for stock checking outside core working hours.

Principal Accountabilities for the role of Senior Stock Controller:

* Maintain stock level of selected purchased parts and meet production demands

* Monitor daily purchased parts, stock and reconcile these with forward orders and demand to generate appropriate and accurate orders.

* Expedite, arrange and co-ordinate supplier’s deliveries.

* Analyse forecasts and liaise with Senior Sales Management to determine optimum material ordering.

* Liaise with stores personnel to ensure materials are available as required.

* Monitor supplier’s performance and liaise with buyers to maintain high levels of service.

* Conduct requisite administrative work and all transactions throughout the month and at the end of each financial period.

* Oversee the daily workload of Stock Controllers and re-distribute as required.

* Identify and implement system / process improvements where appropriate.

* Deputise for the Material Control Manager and Stock Controllers as and when required.
