Electric Meter Installer

The Role:

Electric Meter Installers (40) required to fit Single or Three Phase whole current meters into domestic and commercial premises throughout the UK

High density of workload available and the opportunity to increase earnings based upon performance through an attractive bonus scheme.

This position is an ongoing temporary contract and labour only, which means that everything is supplied and you are required to only provide your technical expertise as an electric meter installer.

Payment is on a per fitted meter basis, with the opportunity to earn as much as you want and is only limited to the quality of your work and the time and effort you want to out into the job.

Meter Installers earn regularly over £960 per week on this contract.

Location of work: Scotland, North West England, North East England, East Midland, West Midlands, East Anglia, South East England

The Candidate:

You will have to meet the following criteria, to stand any chance of getting on this exceptional long term, high earning contract;

1) MOCOPA or DNO authorised Electric Meter Installer

2) Three Phase metering authorisation

3) A checkable* history within Electric Meter Installation with a reputable Electric Metering Main or Sub-contractor, DNO or Utilities Company.
* References will be checked from all your previous employers to verify your technical ability for a period of at least five years.

4) Be prepared to work outside of your local area if required (neighbouring postal codes)

5) Work evenings, weekends and on-call via a Rota System if required (1 week in 4)

6) Commit to the temporary contract for at least 52 working weeks

7) Be prepared to be vetted via a Criminal Record Check

8) Have a maximum of six penalty points on your driving license

9) Be prepared to drive a van that has a tracker fitted

10) Be prepared to take a detailed trade test and run the risk of having any offer of employment immediately removed, should you fail to achieve a 90% Pass Mark

11) Be prepared to attend a Health and Safety Induction, which may be outside of your local area and involve overnight stays (all expenses covered).

The All Important Benefits:

This is a long term temporary contract, which may offer the opportunity of permanent employment, subject to your performance and of course, wanting the position.

a) Pay is weekly

b) Training is paid (£9.14 per hour gross inc holiday pay and National Insurance)

c) Pay is at a minimum day rate plus a bonus scheme applies, so the more you fit per day, the more you earn.

1-4 Meters Per Day = £80.00

5 Meters + Per day Bonus Rate as follows:

Single Phase Meters: £23 per meter

Three Phase Meters: £28 per meter

Warrant: £15 per hour

d) Runrec guarantee to increase your meter fitted pay rate three times in the first twelve months and annual thereafter

e) Earnings of £960 per week or more are regularly achievable

f) You will be supplied with a Vehicle, Fuel Card, Tools, PPE, Phone

k) Payment is via the Payment Company of your choice or your own Ltd Company, giving you the opportunity to off-set tax against legitimate business expenses.

This temporary contract is via Runrec Ltd Metering Recruitment. We are an Agency and will support you and act as a mid way point between our Client, our Candidate (you) and the Payment Company (who you choose to get paid through).

The Client for this contract is one of the UK’s largest and a leading utilities metering contractor, which Meter Installers working nationwide on gas, electrical and dual fuel metering projects
