A technical Manager is required to join this cutting edge, award winning Engineering company to lead a team of Technical Experts in the design and development of new solutions to complex engineering problems across multiple projects.

The successful candidate will;

• Manage and develop a team of highly knowledgeable Technical Experts
• Act as a Technical Lead on a range of projects
• Act as Operational Manager for the team
• Expand the company knowledge base through relationship with suppliers and institutions
• Select and manage suppliers to deliver complex work packages
• Drive innovation and generate IP in relevant areas
• Report to senior management team
• Create and communicate across the business with clear work packs; stage gates, requirements and progress reports

To be successful in this role you will have;

• An Engineering/Physics/Science – Degree, Masters or PhD
• Very strong technical track record of solving complex technology problems
• Capability to manage across disciplines
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Experience which covers any of the following is highly advantageous; Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineer, Robotics, Systems Safety, CE Marking, Machine Vision, Materials Science, Structural Engineering and Motion Control.
