A successful engineering company based in Tamworth are currently looking for a Production Operative / Assembler to join their busy team in a brand new, modern clean manufacturing environment on a permanent basis.

Your duties will include:

• Assembling portable machinery & equipment used in the construction sector
• Working from drawings and diagrams where required
• Calibrating and servicing the machines to a high standard (training will be provided in this aspect)
• Working as part of a team
• Being flexible to carry out other duties when required

Experience required:

• Previous assembly or bench fitting experience would be beneficial although training will be provided
• The ability to measure accurately and work from drawings / diagrams and written instructions is preferred
• Excellent attitude towards working with others in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• A background in Mechanical Manufacturing would be beneficial
• Knowledge of working within Health & Safety requirements is essential
• Ability to work using your own initiative is required
• Knowledge of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and gauges would be beneficial but not essential

A permanent position is on offer to the right person, subject to completion of a successful three-month probation period with the company.
