CSSD Team Leader (Day Shift – £21,224 + Benefits)

My client is part of an international privately owned company and is a market leader in the reprocessing of medical devices. This company offers customised solutions to hospitals for the modernisation of their Central Sterile Supply Department. This involves supplying decontamination / sterile services to a number of private hospitals in the region. They are now looking to recruit an experienced Team Leader for their Sterile Services Unit in Aylesford (Shift Patterns are as follows: 6am – 2pm, 11am – 7pm & 2pm – 10pm). Candidates must be able to work all of these on a Rota basis.)

In the Role of Team Leader you will:

• Provide a first class decontamination sterile service to the operating department, clinical departments and relevant paramedical departments.
• Manage, motivate, train and engage the Unit’s workforce
• Report any problems with equipment or instruments to the SSD Supervisors.
• Promote and maintain the highest level of Health & Safety for the protection of staff, patients and visitors.
• Work as an active member of the SSD team ensuring agreed standards are maintained.
• Ensure daily maintenance of machinery is carried out and any faults reported.
• Ensure that all Unit activities are in accordance with the companies policies and procedures.
• Assist in the induction of new staff and technicians.
• Ensure that all equipment is operated safely and processes documented.
• Maintain and supervise Unit hygiene, maintenance and cleanliness
• Manage the teams’ performance on an ongoing basis.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be experienced within a Sterile Services/CSSD environment and have a good level of experience within leading a team. You will need a flexible approach and able to communicate at all levels with the ability to lead the team both by example and supporting the management team.
