Supply Chain Assistant

Salary: £28,200 per year

Daventry based

8.30am to 5pm – Monday to Friday

Our client, a successful and multinational tyre company based in Daventry, are looking for a Supply Chain Assistant to join their friendly and pleasant operations team.

The key responsibilities:

• Manage customer container orders including receiving orders, sending orders to factories, monitoring production status and deliveries, handling factory order changes, invoicing and handling shortage /overage claims
• Have a good understanding of factory status and customer requirement and deliver good customer service
• Making sure customers take deliveries within free time and liaising with our client’s designated haulier for inland deliveries
• Generate customer reports showing most up to date order status ( factory production completion date, ETA date and so on)
• Generate weekly report to Supply Chain Manager summarising order status and any issues
• Be able to investigate any issues and tackle problems and report any issue to Manager in time for support if required

The ideal candidate:

• Experience in a supply chain role or in logistics industry
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Great communicator both verbal and written
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills
